What Data We Collect
Body Progress collects only the information necessary to provide you with a great progress tracking
experience:
Account Information: Email address and authentication details when you sign in with
Apple or Google.
Progress Photos: Photos you upload to track your transformation journey.
Body Measurements: Weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and custom
measurements you choose to track.
Health Data: Optional health metrics if you choose to sync with Apple Health or
Google Fit.
Usage Data: Basic app analytics to improve performance and fix bugs (anonymous and
aggregated).
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively within the Body Progress app to provide you with tracking and analytics
features:
Display your progress photos and measurements timeline
Generate charts and analytics about your transformation
Provide photo comparison tools
Send reminder notifications (if enabled by you)
Sync your data across your devices via iCloud or Firebase
Improve app performance and fix technical issues
We never:
Sell your data to third parties
Use your photos or measurements for marketing
Share your information with advertisers
Train AI models on your personal data
Access your data for any purpose other than providing app functionality
Data Storage & Security
Your privacy and security are paramount:
Encryption: All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using
industry-standard encryption.
Secure Storage: Photos and measurements are stored securely using Firebase Storage
and Cloud Firestore.
Authentication: We use secure sign-in with Apple and Google, so we never store your
passwords.
Private by Default: Your account and all data are private by default. Nothing is
public unless you explicitly choose to share.
Regular Backups: Your data is automatically backed up to prevent loss, but only you
can access it.
Progress Buddy Feature (Optional)
Body Progress includes an optional "Progress Buddy" feature that allows you to share your journey with
friends or accountability partners.
How It Works
Disabled by Default: The Progress Buddy feature is turned off by default. Your data
remains private until you choose to enable it.
You Control Sharing: You must explicitly add buddies within the app and choose what
to share with them.
Selective Sharing: You can choose which photos, measurements, or progress updates
to share with specific buddies.
Revoke Anytime: You can remove buddies or stop sharing at any time, and they will
immediately lose access to your shared data.
Buddy-to-Buddy Only: Shared data is only visible to the specific buddies you've
added. It's never made public or shared with anyone else.
Your Control
You have complete control over the Progress Buddy feature:
Enable or disable sharing at any time
Choose individual photos or measurements to share
Remove buddies instantly
Delete shared content whenever you want
All sharing requires your explicit consent
Health Data
If you choose to integrate with Apple Health or Google Fit:
We only access the specific health data you grant permission for
Health data is used solely to populate your measurements and charts
You can revoke health data access at any time through your device settings
We never share your health data with third parties
Health data integration is completely optional
Third-Party Services
Body Progress uses the following trusted services to operate:
Firebase (Google): For authentication, database, and secure cloud storage. Your
data is stored in accordance with Google's security standards.
Apple Sign In: For secure authentication on iOS devices.
Google Sign In: For secure authentication on Android devices.
These services are bound by their own privacy policies and do not have access to use your data beyond
providing the technical infrastructure for the app.
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
Access: View all your data within the app at any time.
Export: Export your photos and measurements data in CSV or image format.
Delete: Delete individual photos, measurements, or your entire account.
Correction: Edit or update any of your measurements or notes.
Portability: Export your data to move to another service if you choose.
Data Retention
Active Accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all your personal data, photos, and
measurements are permanently deleted within 30 days.
Inactive Accounts: We do not delete inactive accounts. Your data remains yours
until you choose to delete it.
Children's Privacy
Body Progress is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information,
please contact us, and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal
requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued
use of Body Progress after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
